Zutec Achieves Cyber Essentials Plus Certification, Reinforcing Its Commitment to Data Security in Construction and Property Technology

London, UK 25th June 2026: Zutec, a leading provider of Con and Prop Tech Management software, today announced it has achieved Cyber Essentials Plus certification, the UK government-backed cybersecurity standard that demonstrates the highest level of protection against common cyber threats. This adds to its ISO 27001 certification, which it has held since 2016.

Cyber Essentials Plus is the most rigorous tier of the Cyber Essentials scheme, requiring hands-on technical verification by an accredited certification body. Unlike the standard Cyber Essentials certification, which Zutec already had, the Plus level involves independent testing of an organisation's systems to confirm that the required security controls are working effectively in practice.

"Achieving the Cyber Essentials Plus certification is a significant milestone for Zutec, further strengthening our security posture by complementing our ISO 27001 certification, and reinforcing our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cybersecurity for our customers,” said Mike White, Chief Technology Officer at Zutec.

“As building projects become increasingly digital and AI-enabled, the security of building information and project documentation, including quality and asset management data, is paramount. This certification gives our clients the assurance that Zutec operates to the highest standards of cyber resilience.”

The certification covers five key technical controls: firewalls, secure configuration, user access control, malware protection, and patch management, which are all independently verified through rigorous assessment.

Operating at the forefront of construction and property technology software, Zutec partners with some of the UK and Ireland's leading developers, contractors, housebuilders, and asset owners to transform how building data is captured, accessed, managed, and used.

As the company continues to embed AI-driven capabilities into its platform, from intelligent document discovery to surfacing instant insights, the Cyber Essentials Plus certification gives clients the confidence that Zutec's innovation is matched by an uncompromising approach to data security.

"Our clients trust us with sensitive building data across the full asset lifecycle," added Mike White, Chief Technology Officer at Zutec. "This accreditation underscores our ongoing investment in the security infrastructure that underpins everything we do."

The certification is a requirement for many government and public sector contracts, and is increasingly sought by enterprise clients as a baseline assurance of cybersecurity best practice.
