Peabody

Consistently delivering high-quality handover information and asset data for Peabody since 2014

2 minutes read

Peabody is one of the oldest and largest housing associations in the UK. Following a merger with Catalyst Housing in April 2022, the Peabody Group is responsible for over 104,000 homes and 220,000 customers across London and the Home Counties.

Ensuring consistent, correct asset information to eliminate risk

Peabody, as the end client and asset owner on all its housing projects, works with contractors and sub-contractors to build and maintain properties.

Often, they receive essential handover documentation from contractors upon project completion. However, like many asset owners in the social housing market, Peabody regularly received inconsistent information from different contractors.

Standardisation for success

Required asset information is sourced, reviewed, and delivered efficiently and accurately using standardised templates within the Zutec platform.

These templates are then provided to the contractor as part of the contract, ensuring the correct building information and asset data is collated for a complete handover to Peabody.

Cohesion and consistency

Since 2014, Peabody's single-partner approach has achieved essential consistency across its projects, ensuring all information regarding O&Ms, data, and delivery requirements is uniform, regardless of project size.

Now, all Peabody contracts for housing association-led schemes (where Peabody is the sole end client) mandate the use of Zutec to deliver these assets, recognising the expertise of the digital service provider's team.

“The safety and well-being of our customers is our top priority. To be able to guarantee this for all the homes we own, we need an accurate and complete set of data on handovers and assets. Working with Zutec has changed the process by adding structure and standardisation removing risk and improving compliance by making sure that everything is done the same way.”
