Get consistent handover documentation no matter which contractor you use

When contractors attempt handover using internal resources or manual methods, it can result in data inconsistencies or delays. Demonstrate your property portfolio meets regulatory compliance

The Building Safety Act mandates that Higher-Risk Residential Buildings (HRRBs) must have readily available and updated information, emphasising the importance of online handover.

Zutec simplifies the process of maintaining a digital record of a building's as-built status, complete with structural and fire safety details, as well as a full audit trail for seamless regulatory compliance.

Own a living record of your data across your portfolio

Building information tends to be siloed and stored across disparate systems and formats owned by multiple parties making it difficult to find and keep up to date.

Instead, own all your data on a digital platform where it can be stored and accessed in the cloud in line with regulations throughout the life of a building.

FAQs

Still Have Questions?

What is digital handover?

Digital Handover covers all the information required to manage an asset, and includes but is not limited to, O&M (Operations & Maintenance) Manuals, Health & Safety Files and Fire & Emergency Files (FEF). All this forms the Building Manual and includes contractual requirements like the Health & Safety Files which re required for practical completion (PC).

Why can’t I just keep traditional paper copies of my Building Manual?

Storing paper-based documentation of your Building Manual is cumbersome when you could have a porta cabin full of archive boxes. At the same time, it makes it incredibly difficult to find and update information. Going digital is particularly important for high-rise buildings where under the Building Safety Act 2022, and as an Accountable Person you are required to keep an up-to-date record of structural and fire safety information online as a digital record.

I’m happy with a USB stick, why do I need to host it online?

An offline copy is a good back-up option, but tends to be impractical for day-to-day use, as it is not straight forward to circulate information. A USB can get lost, and it is difficult to give multiple users access.

What does digital handover achieve?

By gathering data and building information during construction, and storing as-built records in a single, sharable repository like Zutec’s platform, delays can be avoided at the end of the process when handing over an asset — providing a single source of truth where all data is in one place.
